U Can Cope - support for anyone in distress or those trying to help them Together with Samaritans and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Connecting with People (emotional resilience and suicide prevention training providers) are leading a coalition of more than one hundred organisations (UK and beyond)  - from mental health bodies to the Professional Cricketers’ Association to spread the message that it is possible to overcome suicidal thoughts and feelings and that there are many resources available to help those who are struggling to cope. With their media partner, Southwick Media Consultancy they produced and released the U Can Cope film. U Can Cope also highlights the new Royal College of Psychiatrists’ resources: Connecting with People have developed a range of practical and compassionate self-help resources with their collaborators on behalf of the Royal College of Psychiatrists - available to anyone in need of advice and support. They promote appropriate self-help and inform people regarding useful strategies and how they can access help and support. They are available online via the Connecting with People website and the RCPsych website www.rcpsych.ac.uk  free of charge. The pocket-sized leaflets can be ordered via leaflets@rcpsych.ac.uk   Feeling on the edge helping you get through it - for people in distress attending the Emergency Department following self harm or with suicidal thoughts Feeling overwhelmed and staying safe and for anybody struggling to cope when bad things happen in their life U Can Cope designed to help young people develop resilience and cope with any current/future difficulties in their life. Just as helpful for adults
